Georgina Saldaña Wonchee is a Mexican vocalist, mezzo-soprano, and songwriter whose repertoire celebrates the richness of Latin American and Iberian musical traditions.

She performs boleros, son jarocho, rancheras, huapangos, chilenas, flamenco, early music, and contemporary Latin American songs with a deep commitment to musical authenticity and emotional storytelling.

For over fifteen years, she has led LA CHINA SONIDERA, the acclaimed cumbia band she co-founded, serving as its lead singer, composer, and creative director. She has also performed with projects including AÑORANZA and AFROINDI, creating performances that honor memory, identity, and cultural heritage.
